Still trying to gain upon myself, these should be posted in may or something.....
Let's start with the Korra stuff :)
I received this Water tribe necklace from my dear Asami, back then I've also mentioned it here :)
It was an unique piece of my necklace collection, but a really lonely piece in parallel.
So I decided to make a Sato Industries logo as a companion to the poor lonely Water Tribe medal ^^ I wear them together since then :D Happy ending!
The medal was made by polymer clay, the colors were mixed to be like this. A hard job its was.. It's purplish brown and the gear is something meat color like :'D But for my excuse, the original banner uses the same colors, so it's OK.
I made a bigger octagon and gear, then half them and made two medals of them :) Asami's is with her, I didn't take photo of it. But it's totally alike.
At the end, with a tiny bow :)
And together, photographed with flash.
Other stuff.
I made back in 2012 a Korra bracelet with knotting. I said, it was a fail, but worn it a lot and finally started to love it. But it still didn't looked like the original idea. So as I started to craft with polymer clay I made another bracelet :D
Damn hard work.... make the tiny triangles, force them to fit. And when I finally baked them, only then, turned out that it was short to wear with exactly two triangles.. And the white triangles wasn't white after baking but yellowish pinkish.. something. Even the beautiful blue turned to something dark sadness. And the later baked triangles kept the original color.... :'D My damn luck..
The two on the left are the after baked ones, though the white ones seems to have the same color, they don't. My cameras fault, but I couldn't make a better quality photo.
Anyway, the blue ones don't share the same color, it is certain.
Here you can see the tiny holes I made to the damil, which was going to hold them together as a bracelet. I spent a lot time to make them into the same level but the not-yet-baked-clay was deformed every direction during the progress...
The assembling process was also a great fun challenge.. That damn flexible damil unknotted itself in no time. I don't know how, but finally, now it is stable and works properly, but seriously, I don't know how I managed it!
The final form.
I wanted to say at the Sato medal that it was my first work with polymer clay, but at Misa's workshop I already played with clay :)
These cuties were made with her, poor Monkey is the latest, I couldn't finish it because we had to run to perform :'D In the post I made about that con I mentioned her too. It's near the bottom. Sorry, that become a really really long post... ^^'
My first independent work is this cat ring. :'D Poor thing.
Anyway that nailpolish is my favourite so far :P
Flowers! Flowers. Flowers...?
Made a lot of them but they are extremely uncomfortable to wear, as they poke everywhere. Maybe because they are made by voile, not from organza. Voile is a much more rigid fabric... and if you melt it, it will grow thorns and scratch your everything. Next time I'll think earlier...
Anyway the look good on hats or bags, but You Do Not Want To Wear Them as jewelry or anything. Trust me.
That's all for now. :)
Thanks for reading my not-that-exciting-experiences-with-various-materials :'D
Next episode coming out soon ;)
Bye till then! :)
